Jam Camp Vacancies:

First of all we do have space available for more jam students. If you know of anyone who is still considering this event, please encourage then to sign up now.

Are you ready for the 2015 Jam Camp in Manjimup?

Please get there a bit early so the class can start on time. We have compiled a few important things on this page to help you prepare for the camp.

In the past we have sent mail-out packs to enrolled students, and last year we emailed PDF documents with links and text. This year we are trying to contain all of our pre-camp materials to be distributed via this website.

Books and DVD’s

We have included some easy to learn and play songs, along with some recommended song books for the future.

We have also included links to Pete Wernick’s Jamming DVD’s. These are arguably the best DVD’s available today and are closely aligned with the structure and presentation of our “Wernick Method” jam camps.

Everyone should have at least one of the Pete Wernick DVD’s. They are a valuable learning tool and a great reference source for the future. We will have these DVD’s and others available at the camp for sale.

You are also encouraged to bring along a few songs of your own that you know and can lead us to sing and play.

While the aim of the weekend is to learn, join in and build confidence, the main part will be “Having Fun”.

What to bring to the jam camp:

  • Your instrument/s
  • An electronic tuner (a must)
  • A recording device
  • A notepad and pen/pencil
  • A strap for your instrument
  • Spare picks and string
  • Your songbook/s
  • A music stand (optional)

You have some work to do before your arrival at the camp. One of the most important things to do now is to spend some time watching the following YouTube clips and become familiar with the songs we will be singing and playing at the camp. These are some – not all – of the songs we will spend time on.

Remember to try to learn and recall the words to the chorus of the songs. It is not that necessary at this stage to learn the words to the verses, although some people can to do this quite easily. You will be singing along to the chorus during the group sessions.
